Lead Trainer -Technical Metrology Systems (Vision & Optical)

The primary responsibility of this position is to train end user customers in all aspects of using Starrett Metrology Systems (Vision & Optical). Next is to prepare and update as needed, all Starrett Metrology Systems training materials, train Starrett Field Services Technicians, Engineers and Sales staff.
All training activities should be efficiently performed with quality and professionalism in accordance with the company's policies and procedures.
The essential functions of this position include:
Train Starrett customers to effectively use Starrett metrology software and systems
Train Starrett Service and Sales staff to effectively use Starrett metrology software and systems
Train Starrett Authorized Distributors Service & Sales staff when appropriate.
Maintain records on all training activities in the field, at Starrett facilities and online.
Prepare and update training materials for Starrett Metrology Systems (Vision & Optical)
Lead all aspects of training preparations with guidance from the Technical Services Manager
Training may be over the phone, via web meeting or in-person
Perform other duties as required, such as:
Adhere to all environmental health and safety rules, regulations, and work instructions
Ability to travel frequently
Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects
Excellent communication skills are essential.

Technical Trainer Skills and Qualifications:
Presentation skills, written communication, training/training management, technical zeal, self-development, technical leadership, presenting technical information, self-confidence, dealing with complexity, Microsoft and other computer skills.
This position requires some experience in teaching, training, mentoring or related activities.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
