This position is a per diem opportunity that will be subject to specific days that need coverage, based on the spontaneous needs of the school district.
Please note that we are a temporary staffing agency so there are no benefits offered.
However, there is potential for the schools to hire you directly.
Schedules:
Varied schedule, subject to the school district's needs, this can be specific days, weeks, or months of coverage.
Hours will vary.
Pay Rate:
$50 - 55/hr Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Handling health issues for students and staff within the school setting, and documenting activity Providing regular health related screenings Dispensing students' prescribed medications as needed Providing healthcare initiatives within the school Educating students and school staff on medical or health related topics Developing health plans for students as needed Monitoring student immunizations as required by district Maintaining documentation of all student health records as required by district or program Consulting with parents/guardians, school faculty, and other health care providers regarding the health and wellness of the student Assisting students who have complex medical needs on a 1:
1 basis
Qualifications:
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Massachusetts is required.
Nursing experience in a pediatric or school setting strongly preferred.
Must be able to pass a CORI and fingerprinting check.
Working knowledge of the medical and health fields, including mental health.
Ability to make quick independent nursing care decisions Knowledge of state and local guidelines/laws.
